How are headings detected?

The tool compares each line's font size to the most common (body text) size on the page — noticeably larger lines become # or ## headings. It's a heuristic, not a perfect structural read.

Can it convert scanned PDFs?

No — scanned (image-only) PDFs have no text layer to extract from. OCR is not currently supported.

Will tables convert to Markdown tables?

Not currently — tables in a PDF are extracted as plain text lines rather than reconstructed as a Markdown table, since PDF text has no structural table information.
